fluorescent adolescent

sabtu minggu dihabiskan dengan makan, nginap, seneng-seneng di bandung. sort of spur of the moment actually. hari kamis gue melempar wacana "don't you think it'd be nice if..." ke adit, jumat he booked the hotel (20% discount for tlkm employees. i'm definitely keeping the id card :p), sabtu pagi we strolled off from home at 6 am. the traffic and the weather were both friendly. bumy slept almost the entire time while we're on the road. we drove in silence. enjoying the ride and random thoughts on our minds.
begitu sampai, kita sarapan di le marly. what a nice place, cool furnitures and interior designs. kickass playlist as well! kaget banget gue pas denger "something changed"-nya pulp diputer.

oh when we woke up that morning,
we had no way of knowing
that in a matter of hours
we'd change the way we were going.
where would i be now?
where would i be now if we never met?
would i be singing this song to someone else instead?
i don't know but like you just said, "something changed..."

snapped a corner at Le Marly

makanannya agak mengejutkan di lidah. at first because it was so tasty. the next is because it was all covered with mustard.
dari situ, kita jalan kaki ke cisangkuy untuk ngajak bumy naik kuda. here they are:

tempat nginap tak lain tak bukan tak berubah ya concordia. sebelum check in, kita nongkrong di outdoor space bumi sangkuriang... it was a breezy midday. jam 12 siang tapi banyak yang berenang karena cuacanya gak panas sama sekali. bumy udah excited duluan ngeliat segernya air kolam renang. baruu aja step down ke arah kolam, dia udah teriak-teriak bahagia. lucky for me, excitement-nya itu bisa gue jadikan 'senjata' untuk nyuruh dia makan dengan lahap. mwahaha.

setelah leyeh-leyeh, we entered our room and dozed off 'til 4 in the afternoon. hihihi. we had a terribly late lunch at bumi sangkuriang resto. and then went for a swim afterwards.
the pool temperature was probably typical for a bandung-er, but for moi, alamak gue menggigil dari awal sampai udahan. the kid himself was so happy and excited he didn't mind the cold.

later in the evening, we decided to join the saturday night rumpus in bandung. meaning: participate in the traffic. we had no specific destination in mind, jadi ujung-ujungnya "yaudah the valley ajah."
the place was packed. mejanya dempet-dempet banget deh. sungguh seating yang gak layak dengan harganya.
the food was so-so. it rained a little when we were eating. we sat at the "outdoor" part of the resto. jadi sempat terjadi pindah-pindah bangku karena 'tenda' yang disediakan gak meng-cover semua bangku.
highlight of our visit there adalah bumy makannya lahap.

the next morning, i woke the boys up at 7. had breakfast with sports shoes and attires on. afterwards we jogged circling the hotel and then decided to expand our route to the streets around the hotel. my God ciumbuleuit and its huge houses... i would really love to have a taste of living there. the area is so fancy and graceful, but it also has humble ambient... with all the big trees. 

i cooled off by walking bare foot on the grass. read sometime ago about "earthing" (here and here for example). i don't have my faith fully on the method but it sure felt good to do.

and then we had another swimming session.
and then we ran around the water sprinkler and made ourselves even more wet. the kid laughed so hard.
i love love bandung because it's not that far and the hotel's so comfy and not pricey and the restaurants are so stylish and pretentious that we don't mind paying for our overrated meals,
thus so far it's our best choice to unwind and exhale.
