you take your car to work, i'll take my board.

so, the other day, i could cross out an item from my bucket list. i watched weezer's concert.

eheheheheh. *putting on an ear-to-ear winning smile*

growing up in era reformasi, when indonesia seemed to be considered as "eternally" incondusive for any big names to visit, i never thought this day could ever happen. weezer is my teenage years' hero. i listened to pinkerton (the cassette, of course, haha) almost-every-day during SMP and SMU years. no exaggeration here. their music, which speaks out teenage-angst, self-destruction, and vulnerability is never irrelevant, nor too loud for me. those are the days when i shouted their songs on the top of lungs.

and there they were, in jakarta. i looked up to the sky a few times to convince myself that it was happening, and to savor the moment when rivers cuomo's voice and weezer's music filled up the cold jakarta air that night.

i didn't take many pictures or videos. got loads of people doing that for me hehe. i was just glad, glad, GLAD it was finally happening. after years of watching bands covering their songs, or trying to be like them, and countless attendances to tribute to weezer's events!

pilihan band favoritku memang tak pernah salah, blur and weezer still exist and produce good music 'til now hahahah (keluar chauvinistnya).

anyways, other highlights from that night are:
- rempong banget sebagai emak-emak nyiapin mau konser outdoor xD botol minumlah, crocs, sampe jas ujan. untung semuanya berguna (baca: kepake)!
- baru bisa masuk area konser pas lagu kelima udah dimainin T___T duh kok on time banget sihhh jer. jadinya jerit-jerit tertahan sambil ngantri kasih liat tiket huhu.
- kayanya gue gak liat abege sama sekali.... angkatan gue dan lebih tua semuanya yang hadir, hahahah. and everyone sang along because everyone knew every word!
- loveluvlurveee: noone else, only in dreams, holiday, undone, surf wax america.
- kelar konser, jalan kaki sama lukita dari lapangan D (samping JHCC ajee) sampe FX dengan sepatu belok penuh lumpur, betis encok, keujanan, tapi hati yang hepihepitwothousand :3
- pas sampe rumah, gerbang cluster udah ditutup dan digembok! untung satpamnya gak keenakan turu. di dalam rumah, suami dan anak lagi bobok mesra berduaan, hehe.
